What is Green Sigma?
Green Sigma, or Green Lean Sigma, or also referred as Green Sigma or Green Six Sigma, is a new way to achieve Sustainable Operations taking into account the 3Ps of Sustainablity (Planet, People, Profit) by integrating best known Lean and Six Sigma operations practices and methodologies with green and environmental concerns such as reduction of waste and reduction of energy consumption.
Even in purely service, office-based operations achieving Sutainable Operations and driving sustainaiblity improvement can have a significant positive impact in companies' bottom line by reducing costs directly related to for example: building heating, office air-conditioning, office lighting, desktop computer energy, standby energy comsumption, data centre cooling systems, paper and toner consumption..
Reducing operations energy consumtpion and operations waste reducing s a cost-reduction effort that improves profitability.
In addition to reducing costs, achieving sustainable operations will address the concern of most people regarding the planet's future and being eco-friendly while saving costs.
Planet, People and Profitabilty is the new so called 3Ps business reporting that accounts for Sustainability.
